A range of handmade reproduction bootbutton eyes are being produced by Haworth Cottage and are available for sale. These are especially suited to aged and reproduction bears.

Approximately three years ago Lexie mentioned to her husband John that she could not obtain large original bootbutton eyes for her big bears. This led him to develop 'Memoreyes' and she now uses them almost exclusively for her bears.  They are completely handmade and are quite time consuming to make and consequently are more expensive than glass eyes. However, we believe their appearance and strength make them very desirable if you are, like Lexie  trying to achieve that genuine old appearance for your bears.  As they can be finished in a high gloss they can also be suitable for non aged bears.. The eyes are extremely strong and are fully guaranteed against breakage.  In fact in over three years of production not one pair has been returned for replacement. They are available in five sizes. 9mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, and 16mm.
